What is Profhilo®?

Profhilo® is an innovative anti-aging treatment, which is performed by injecting hyaluronic acid. The treatment is quick, gentle and hardly noticeable. Profhilo® is injected in the smallest amounts with very fine needles at five defined injection points on each side of the face. Due to its special composition, Profhilo® spreads itself in the tissue and thus has a moisture-binding effect on the entire facial skin. This contributes to visible anti-aging effects and your skin can radiate youthful freshness after just two applications four weeks apart. We recommend that you refresh the treatment regularly, about once a year, in order to provide your skin with sufficient moisture over the long term.

What is the difference between Profhilo® and normal hyaluronic acid filler treatments?

Unlike conventional filler treatments with hyaluronic acid, Profhilo® is not used in wrinkles or to increase volume in the face. A targeted injection is carried out using the BAP injection technique (Bio Aesthetic Points) and the product is then distributed evenly under the skin. The entire skin in the treated area thus benefits from its moisturizing effect.

Which areas of the body can Profhilo® be applied to?

The most common Profhilo® application in our clinic here in Zurich is on the face to refresh the skin to achieve a glow effect or “dolphin look”. Other areas of application for Profhilo® are the neck, décolleté, back of the hand or on the trunk.

How often do you have to perform a Profhilo® treatment for an ideal treatment result?

In the first year, we recommend two Profhilo® treatments 4 weeks apart. Most of our patients do a refresher every 6 months thereafter to maintain the great anti-aging result.

Is there any special aftercare or downtime after a Profhilo® treatment?

No special aftercare is required after a Profhilo® application. Puncture marks from the treatment may be visible on the day of the treatment. The patient is socially acceptable immediately after the treatment (so-called “lunch break treatment”) and can pursue normal everyday activities. As with any hyaluronic acid injection, we recommend that patients refrain from alcohol, sauna visits and very strenuous physical exertion in the first few days after the treatment.

How much does a Profhilo® treatment cost?

The Profhilo® treatments start from CHF 450.
