What is Sculptra® and how does it work?

Sculptra® is a biostimulant with the active ingredient PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic Acid). This active ingredient has been used successfully and safely in medicine for several years. It has also been approved by the American FDA authority for use in collagen formation. When Sculptra® is injected, collagen production is stimulated in the deep layers of the skin and the connective tissue is tightened. The skin is visibly smoothed and its elasticity is increased. This is also the decisive difference to conventional hyaluronic acid fillers, which merely fill the skin. The natural result of Sculptra® with the body’s own collagen formation is visible after a few weeks.

What is the procedure of a treatment with Sculptra® ?

We perform the Sculptra® treatment exclusively with micro cannulas. Through fine entry points in the skin, we can thus treat the product without pain and with considerably less subsequent swelling (in contrast to the conventional pointed needles). After the treatment, the patient is ready for social activities without any downtime.

How many treatments are needed for an ideal result?

Most of our patients perform 2 to 3 treatments to achieve a fresh look with a long-lasting effect. The treatments are performed at 6-week intervals.
